The joys of a new home

So now that we're weeks away from closing on our new home (that still seems crazy to me), Jason and I have begun thinking about decorating. Well, I guess the more accurate statement is that I've been thinking about decorating and Jason has been nicely appeasing me by listening to my thoughts. We'll have 2 1/2 baths in the new home. I originally thought that we could use our older shower curtain for the guest/main bathroom, but after digging it out of the linen closet, realized that the cats had chewed the curtain up pretty good. I wouldn't even donate it to Goodwill, it was that bad. So, I started thinking and thought it might be fun to make the main bathroom a fun room, since this will be the bathroom that Bree will be using as she grows up. I wanted to make it kid-friendly, while still keeping the bathroom bright and fun. I did a bunch of research in finding various shower curtains and themes. After Jason vetoed several of them (too bright, they made his head hurt), we agreed on a jungle theme or an owl theme depending on what Kohls had in store. Well, Kohls was a bust and had nothing! Very disappointed. I then checked Bed, Bath, and Beyond - nothing as well. And finally, Target. Target is where I hit the gold mine! There was an adorable monkey/jungle theme and an adorable owl theme in stock. Problem with the owl theme was that it was very girly and since Jason and I aren't sure if we're done having children, we didn't want to go ultra girly in case we have a second child which turns out to be a boy. I really wanted the owl theme though...super cute. So here's our new digs, which will give you an idea of how we'll be decorating the main bathroom. I'll attach final pictures once we get the room up and running!!
