My trip to the doctor's (Bree's version):
Mommy took me to the doctor's today for my 1 month checkup. At first I didn't mind as I got to nap while mommy and the doctor talked questions, but then the nurse had mommy undress me, which I wasn't too pleased with. I was all warm in my jammies but I got used to the cool air pretty quickly. I got measured and weighed and guess what?...I now weigh 8 lbs 3 oz and measured 22 inches! The doctor said I was in the 25.5% for weight and the 75% for length. She measured my head too and said that I was in the 50% for head circumference, measuring at 36.5. The doctor checked my heart, eyes, ears, mouth, and skin. She said I have a strong heartbeat and nice looking skin! No birth marks that we can see. Mommy was then told to dress me but to leave one of my legs exposed. This is when the bad thing happened....the doctor poked me with a needle, said it was the 2nd Heb shot, but I said it hurt! I gave a loud, quick cry as to say "hey stop that, it hurts!!" Good thing mommy was able to hold me, because right after the shot she held me to her chest and cuddled me...that made it feel a bit better. Mommy kissed me on the forehead and said that I did good. Then mommy put be back in the car seat and made my next doctor's appointments while I said hi to the rest of the staff in the office. I go back to the doctor for my 2 month visit on Friday October 7th at 11am, then my 4 month visit on Thursday December 8th at 9:15am, and then my 6 month check up on Monday, February 6th at 10am. I was warned that I might not like the next appointment as they have to give me more of those vaccine thingies. For now, I'm just working on going back to sleep...I'm a little worked up over my visit, but still oh so sleepy.....heavy eyes!
