We've got fetal movement!

So yesterday evening I was laying on the couch in the middle of calling my best friend, Kirsten, when I felt a definite "bubble bursting" sensation right below my belly button (which by the way is  getting dangerously close to flattening out). Unlike the possible movement that I talked about in my last blog, this one was hard to miss. This sensation happened a few more times throughout the evening, although none as noticeable as the first one. It's kinda like baby Pistachio was saying "hi, here I am!" I don't know if kicking me is the best way of doing this, but for the baby, I'll let it slide! :) When I said something, Jason ran over with a smile on his face and placed his hand on my belly. No movement was felt by him, but I think he was pretty excited to hear the news. The movement has definitely made this whole thing seem more real. I've known for awhile that I'm pregnant and have definitely seen the side effects of pregnancy (growing body, tiredness, etc), but before last night, it still kinda felt like I was changing for no real apparent reason. No finished product. But now, it's a little hard to continue that line of thinking. I think I can now start to think about the little baby that will be entering our lives. Part of this concept is scary and overwhelming for me, but there's another part that is really excited to be planning the next chapter of our lives. So, although Pistachio has probably been kicking me for the last several weeks, I'm going to mark week 20 as the first official kick/baby movement!
